Last night, Chef Roongfa showed us how to make golden cups, which included an ingredient called lime water. It was pink in colour, and tasted bitter (like chalk, some said.) Apparently, it was made of pink, turmeric-soaked limestone soaked in water. Oddly enough, the limestone started off as white, but when soaked in yellow turmeric water, it became pink!
