Exotic Treat? Thai Iced Tea

I have had a really wonderful time in all the classes so far. Learned a lot about Thai cooking and their use of chillies. The level of spiciness of Thai spicy is crazy spicy! But everything is worth the try, and so far, I have loved all the food, especially the curries. I am really excited to learn how to make Pad Thai today and other dishes as well.

But despite all the cooking and absorbing the knowledge, I want to talk about the Red Thai Tea that they serve us during the cooking classes. Tea may not be always be the center of attention, thus, this post is going to be the main character of this blog post.

The Thai tea has a different smell and sweetness to it which gives it that soothing feeling when you take a gulp of it. It is very refreshing as it is always really humid in Thailand. The cooking school served it with ice and lime which enhanced the flavour of the tea. Some of us had a conversation on getting some of this tea back to Vancouver already! For me, I am 100% sure that I am going to get this back home.

I am looking forward to more cooking, exploring, and drinking more of this tea. Cheers!
